You walk into a situation with a full cast of characters. Each one has a role, a perspective, and no obligation to make things easy. You lead the conversation and work to uncover what you need. Where it goes depends entirely on the questions you ask.
Students enter a scenario designed by learning designers and subject matter experts. For example, a developer conducting interviews before proposing a sustainability initiative.
They interact with a group of AI personas, each with distinct perspectives, roles, and concerns. The student leads the conversation, brings people in and out of the room, and attempts to gain information or sway opinions.
At the end, the full transcript is collected for instructor assessment. They review what the student asked, how they listened, and how they navigated competing perspectives.
AI has had conversational abilities for a while, but unlike generic conversations, Scenario experiences are designed by professional learning experience designers and subject matter experts. Because they use Unity’s own platform, they’re also energy efficient and safe.
Scenarios are valuable for how they ask students to take on the responsibility of navigating a situation, which is something most traditional assignments struggle to replicate.
The result: students practice judgment, active listening, and decision-making in a realistic context, not a multiple-choice simulation.
